I Love Him Sooooooo Much !!!!!!

He Is doing so much better Fangless. I believe his extra long fangs caused him problems for many moons. He is back to hisself & as demanding as ever. He loves wearing his collar. He is just a handsome boy !!! Hopefully HP will earn his collar & Choctaw will follow right behind. Although HP's behavior has improved greatly... he is still a Terror and he tests me daily. Choctaw is just a big sweet lovable boy and him & Salem... Well, they are purrfect in all ways. HP is a challenge but in his own way... he is a sweet boy. I love him. My bedroom is off limits to HP for the weekend. He knocked a bunch of my treasures off of one of my wall shelves.... trying to climb the wall... no spiderman kitty,,, some things were broken... so he is being reasoned with.

I promised Salem to take him for a walk in the park this afternoon. Gotta keep that promise !!

I have spent over $300 in Vet bills this month on the kitties. Hopefully it will not be repeated next month. It takes me forever in the kitty food section of the grocery store..... They are very picky & so am I. I have to check online to see what brands are still safe. At the store, I read the labels and check dates. No one likes to go to the store with me because I take so long.

Nice weather here & I am running barefoot !!!

Off, I go to once again suck up kitty litter... is a ritual.

My Poor Boy Salem

My Poor Salem was having problems eating & drinking water so we took him to his Vet yesterday. Seems like he damaged one of his beautiful fangs and the nerve was exposed. He had to be put under for a brief period of time while they removed his fangs and scaled his back teeth. We were all surprised to find out that he had more back teeth than we thought. His trademark fangs were causing him much pain. As soon as we got him back home and out of his carrier, he rushed to his water and food and ate & drank like a piggy. This morning he is in some pain from the ritual but all in all he is sooooo much better. The Kitty Tooth Fairy visited him last night... I know he is very spoiled !!!!! He will always be my Count... fangs or no fangs as he earned his title rightfully. I kept his Fangs & they are in a special place. I love him soooo much !!!!

okay off I go to hug & smooch on me boy !!

Morning

Having another quiet morning here today. Listening to some Inkubus Sukkubus tunes. I love them !! I don't get the Grandkids until the afternoon to watch.

Tina is having alot of pain with her burnt foot. Hope that it is healing quickly.

We introduced Choctaw into the Lair the other night. He is such a sweet boy. Salem & HP were very good boys. They all seemed okay together except Salem kept following Choctaw all over the place and sniffing at him. I think Salem was telling him... I am the Alpha and this is my Lair. Choctaw was telling him .... Okay.. Got it !!! Was interesting to watch them. Choctaw is going to be a huge cat. He will not finish growing until he is around 4 years old. He is already taller than Salem but Salem rules in weight. Poor Lil HP.. is the runt !! I think Choctaw's fur is also longer than Salem's. Salem does not get hair mats but Choctaw seems to. I spent alot of time.. pampering these guys and they demand it. Nyla, my Son's lil female kitty seems to be Salem's main object of desire. He spends hours cuddled up with her on the couch while she grooms him. They seem to have a strong bond.

I never knew this until I read it in a book that Sierra checked out from the library. Old English Bull Dogs can not swim !!! I thought all dogs and most other animals can swim but it warns that this bred of dog can not. Now we are worried that Luna will try to get into the pool with the kids. She could climb the ladder up into the pool. She climbs steps easily & they will have to make sure that the steps are removed from the pool when they are not using it and keep her inside when they are in the pool. She loves water so they are going to get her a small baby pool for the yard. She is also stubborn and is not too bright. She has a few bad habits... if she gets out the fence.. she will not come back to you until she is ready.. she will run out in front of cars.. she has this annoying habit of head butting you at the knees and pushing you with her big bulky head. She is a big baby and a sweetie but also a handful to handle. Very strong dog.

Okay off I go to suck up some kitty litter !!

If it ain't one thing ,,, it's two

Yesterday started out to be such a beautiful day... The weather was perfect so Shannon & Tina & I took Sierra and Scooter to the beach at George Washington's Birthplace to walk along the river and hunt for Shark's Teeth. We found some nice size ones... Sierra found 5 all by herself. We had to wade across a small stream ... followed some racoon tracks and just had a very nice day with the kids out in nature. Shark teeth hunting is a family traditions that I started back when I was a teen ager and I passed it down to my kids and they to my Grandkids. I hope this tradition will continue on. My First love, HS Sweetheart & I used to go every Saturday morning. It was a ritual for us. After leaving the Beach... we went out to Dominick's grave site to put out new decorations.

After arriving back here... we decided to fix a quick dinner. Tina asked Shannon if he would make some of his homemade onion rings & I suggested Steak Subs to go with them. Soooo,,, I was in my bedroom... watching TV... door closed and they were preparing the Onion Rings when all of a sudden.... I heard these horrible screams and all this cussing..... then MOM>>>> HELP US !!! Shannon was standing there with all his clothes off except his boxers...his clothes were covered in oil on the floor... next I see Tina lying in the floor screaming... glass & cooking oil covered the floor... Seems like a glass pyrex bowl that they had dumped hot grease into exploded on them. Shannon was standing in a pool of oil... He said Mom, I'm okay.... get to Tina !!!! I walked across the hot oil and glass to Tina... I managed to get then to the bathroom...to get a cool towel to put on her legs.... But I noticed that she was shaking badly. Shannon managed to get to the phone and called 911. The Rescue Squad, Fire Department & Police were here within 5 minutes. They took Tina in the Squad to the Hospital..... Shannon & I followed in his car. Shannon said he was Okay,,, but he had a huge burn on each of the back of his legs. He said on the way that it hurt like Hell but he was so upset about Tina.

We got out of the hospital around 2:30AM. Tina burnt her foot badly and she is on crutches. Shannon has both of his legs in bandages. They are both in pain but they will be fine. It could have been so much worse... we were very very lucky !!!! Shannon ... Said to me on the way home.. MOM, how did you manage to walk in that hot oil and glass to get to us. I said I don't know & I don't even remember.. I just did. We laughed because no one had eaten a thing all day,, Shannon said,, soon as we get to the apartment... I'm going to attack them Fking Onion Rings.. as much trouble as I had with them.. Tina said I want to get into them too !!!!!!

Morning

All is quiet here today. I am very annoyed with Hocus Pocus... and he is not a good kitty and today.. he is getting the cold shoulder.... some way.. the lil terror managed to get his paws thru a small feeding hole in the top of the lighted cover of my fish tank... I found an orange scale that he managed to scratch off one of my fish. The scale came off my beautiful and large Organda, Cobalt. I can see the injury near Cobalts fin. Hopefully he will heal with no infection setting in. My fish are very friendly and swim near the top & by the feeding hole when anyone approaches the tank. They are always begging for more food. I guess HP surprised them with his paw. I have now covered the hole up & I don't think HP can do this again. I thought I had trained HP to leave the fish alone but, I guess not.

Next week, Choctaw will get introduced into the pride. I hope Salem will accept him. He is very much like Salem... I hope he does not absorb HP's energy and remains more like Salem. Salem loves Shannon's lil female kitty, Nyla.... they are buds. He just tolerates with mostly ignoring HP. It should be interesting. No cat has nor ever will mean as much to me as my Salem does. I love them all but Salem is special.

Y and I did the yard sale route yesterday. There were many yard sales but we didn't find the fiddle. I did find an alarm clock that I now need.... a beautiful picture of a Cougar,my animal totem, and two pairs of Oakley sun glasses. I am now stocked up in sun glasses. I just can't go outside without them.. my eyes are very sensitive to sunlight.

Making plans for my yearly vacation to Ocean City, MD. in August. As always this will be my biggest Metal Detecting adventure. I plan on hunting 6-7 hours each evening/night and also the low tides of the morning. First, I need to chart out the Low Tide tables for the days. Hopefully, I can get in a few hunts before the people swarm the beach. I never hunt the beach when others are enjoying it.. it causes nothing but distractions and I consider it rude to swing a coil around someone's chair or blanket. I also hate when others have been hunting and dig holes and leave them unfilled back in. I see this alot.... I figure if I can take the time to dig the hole.... I can also take the time to fill it back before someone steps in and injures themselves. Just the polite and safe thing to do. First, I need to purchase a new Ocean Scoop... that will cost me about $200. Last year, I managed to destroy mine.

Tourist season starts here in May. I can't wait to take my detector out every evening. I hate the sand here as it is mostly pebbles...... used to be nice sand here many moons ago until the Town got cheap and started dumping in pea gravel. Now the sand has filtered thru and remains on the bottom of the river with leaving the beach with hardly a grain of sand. They really need to fix this as you can't walk bare foot easily on the peddles nor put down a blanket or beach towel to rest on. It is very uncomfortable. I do miss the soft sand on most of the NJ Ocean beaches !!!

Quiet day here

We picked Choctaw up from the Vet's yesterday evening. He is a bit sore from the neutering but doing very well. He is staying at Shannon & Tina's until he fully recovers. I think Hocus Pocus maybe too rough around him. Salem will just give him the cold shoulder and make like he does not exist. The Vet Techs fell in love with Choctaw and said that he is such a beautiful & sweet boy. He is too !! He is a big baby. Salem still claims his rights to the new computer chair,, His Throne... Me, I am back sitting in the old wooden chair. Well he does rule around here ya know.

Hocus Pocus is turning out to be a great kitty. He very much listens to me now with voice commands & hand jestures. Salem still ignores him. I wish he could be a bit nicer towards him.

Can't wait for warmer weather here... The beach & river are calling me. There are about 100 Sea Gulls that we feed as often as we can. It is pretty scarey when they all flock towards you but we are now used to them. We also have an Osprey nest next to the apartment building. Ospreys are sacred around here. There are very tall poles with platforms all over town for them to build nests on. Soon golf carts, scooters, motorcycles and horse drawn carriages will be all out around town ...... sorta pisses off the others in cars.... this is a unique town. Real Estate here has skyrocketed beyond belief. The average house/ town house start at $300,00. Shacks are selling in the $200,00 range. Yet, the town has very little employment and base pay being minimum wage. The ones that can afford to live here are flocking in from the Washington, DC area. New homes are poping up on every vacant lot. These are huge homes !!! I am starting to believe living in NJ was cheaper ... the wages are much higher and the cost of living not much different than here. Amazing to see what has happened in this lil Town of 3,000.

A Day Off

Yeaterday, Tina, Shannon & I took Choctaw to his Vet's for his checkup and tests. He passed it all with flying colors... Excellent News !!!! He weighs 11lbs... he needs to catch up with Salem. He's a big guy but not nearly as hunky as me other boy, Salem. Next step is to get him neutered ... probaby next week. Since he is staying at Shannon's apartment until this is done.. not too sure that Salem will want him around as a stud. His Vet really loves him... he was so sweet and just flopped in her arms as most Ragdolls & Ragamuffins are famous for.

I purchased a very nice and comfortable desk chair... with a high back & arms. It looks very nice and comfortable but none of us can sit in it yet.... Salem has staked claim to it.. as his royal throne. Hopefully this fetish with him & the chair will only last a couple of weeks. I want my chair !!!!!!!! Hocus Pocus is turning out to be a well behaved Mommy's boy. He has greatly improved and listens very well.

We have been going to the beach at Washington's Birthplace... Sharks teeth hunting some evenings. Tina, Shannon and I try to take the kids a couple of times a week. We need our time in nature. I can't metal detect there because it is Federal Property and forbidden. Waiting until Summer when the local beach here starts to get people.. then a hunting I shall go !!

Can't wait to get my scooter back on the road... I will look like the other locals that ride their scooters & golf carts around town. It's a very popular thing around here.

Off I go to groom this place and pamper the kitties !!

Choctaw

Afternoon

Been keeping very busy and have not been on the computer much. We woke up to snow on the ground but now it is all gone. Crazy weather here in Virginny.

Salem & Hocus Pocus have a new brother !!!! He is a a year old Blue Lynx Point Ragdoll. He is such a sweet kitty,,,,, has blue eyes of course and long soft fur... he is a huge kitty for his age. We named him Choctaw. Soon as I get my camera back... there will be photos. Choctaw is spending most of his time at Shannon's apartment until he gets neutered and groomed next week. Not sure how Salem is going to except him into his Lair yet but I am sure that he will not be greeted too well with still being a Tomcat . He is a very sweet and easy going type of kitty much like Salem. HP is still a very playful terror but he is also a very lovable little guy. Choctaw just will have to accept Salem as the Alpha.

Y and I went on our weekly trek to the Opp Shop today. I got some nice throw pillows for the sofa. Not much of interest there for me today but still we had fun.
